Navigating Corporate Politics Coaching

Navigating Corporate Politics Coaching

This Saturday, 8 July we will be hosting a private daylong coaching session with Lead Coach, Xavier Weibel on, “How To Navigate Corporate Politics”.

One of the strengths of our business school is not only our project-based learning that gives hands-on experience, but also our one-on-one coaching we offer participants along the way. The unique level of individual attention and quality is key and creates a supportive yet challenging learning environment.

How To Navigate Corporate Politics” and other coaching labs like it, are designed to help prepare our MBA participants to enter the corporate world, with it’s myriad of invisible challenges.

Upon completion of this one-day workshop, participants will be able to understand how alliances between colleagues are forged, how to read and interpret organizational charts and how to manage stakeholders in a proactive manner. Participants will become skilled at avoiding common traps led by political adversaries attempting to broaden their influence and power at another’s expense.

The focus of this workshop is to learn how to master the powerful tools you will need to work with different peers, in-group configurations and politics of the office environment,” says Xavier Weibel, designer of the workshop and an Innovation Leadership Coach as well as co-founder of Human Centric Leaders. “Over the course of the day and through many exercises that I will lead you through, you will feel empowered and better able to understand people and learn tactics for your success.”

Part of the outcomes that participants will leave with, include:

  • Understanding people’s deep agenda and motivators translated into observable behavior
  • Discovering leadership tendencies driving political maneuvering inside large organizations
  • Discovering how trust is used as a model for alliances to be forged
  • Learning to map stakeholders based on their influence and power and ways to enroll them into one’s vision and goals
  • Learning to interpret organizational charts and understanding political forces and what is happening beneath the surface
  • Learning common tactics, pitfalls and traps used by enterprise tacticians and how to apply counter-measures
